Challenge
I developed a brand strategy for Studio Gyzell’s unique bag concept featuring interchangeable foldover front designs. Studio Gyzell created three high-quality, timeless leather bags, each with 10 adjustable front flaps, offering up to 30 different looks (now that’s versatility!) Not to mention, it’s great value and sustainable, too. My challenge? Create an engaging, fashion-forward yet environmentally-conscious brand image, all at a minimal budget.
Sister Insight
I came up with the multilayered tagline, ‘Adjust to Change’. In a literal sense, it communicates their unique product design with adjustable foldover fronts. But it also calls upon people to make responsible choices: buy less and choose well. Because small adjustments in life can really lead to meaningful change. Adjust to change – your bag, your life, and the world.
Idea
Given my client’s years of experience in environmental and occupational health, I encouraged her to go beyond just focusing on reducing consumption. I guided her through the process of sourcing sustainable materials and finding an ethical production chain. This allowed her to create authentic, high-quality handcrafted bags made in Europe with love.
